8 top tips for beautiful hands and nails

  1. Use a milky hand wash, clear hand wash’s tend to be very drying and stripping. Use antibacterial hand washes with tea tree and eucalyptus ( they are naturally antibacterial)
  2. Never put hands in extreme water temperatures. Hot water makes skin dry by taking away the sebum, cold can cause a constriction and the dilation of capillary vessels, leading to redness.
  3. Apply cuticle oils, oils help to nourish, repair and hydrate dry nails and cuticles, We love organic dadi oil.
  4. Learn proper cuticle care. If cuticles are dry and torn your nails will look unkempt. Pushing them back with a cuticle tool and trimming any excess skin can transform nails, however if your cut too much cuticle off, it can lead to infection and harden cuticles. Having a regular manicure with a trained professional is always advised to avoid this.
  5. Protect your hands with sunscreen, your hands are exposed most of the time to the sun and these rays can cause premature aging which can manifest to sun spots, wrinkle and loss of skin tone.
  6. Always use a base coat when applying nail varnish, this helps to protect your nails from staining and helps to nourish and protect the nail.
  7. Always wear gloves when cleaning and gardening, harmful cleaning chemicals can damage and dehydrate your hands and nails.
  8. Exfoliate your hands once a week, this helps with dry skin and sun spots leaving the skin silky smooth to apply your moisturiser.
